Donate to Programs in the National Monument

As the National Monument’s nonprofit partner, Friends of the Desert Mountains provides financial and volunteer assistance for a variety of needs and activities in the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.

Presently we are raising funds to remodel the Visitor Center and add an outdoor amphitheater for educational programs, present the Environmental Health & Safety Education Program in local classrooms, offer new interpretive and educational materials about the National Monument, provide local trail maintenance and guided hikes, and organize volunteers to greet and educate visitors to the Monument.  New programs we are introducing this year involve protecting archaeological sites, monitoring Bald Eagles, and restoring Bighorn Sheep watering holes.

Your generous gift enables us to support these vital programs and provide information to residents of the Coachella Valley, as well as visitors to this national treasure in our own backyard.
