What is it? It's a fun, FREE, creative learning experience about outdoor safety, natural sciences and cultural anthropology, before hitting the trails to learn and practice safe exploration techiniques while out exploring the National Monument.

Presented by the Friends of the Desert Mountains in support of the National Monument, this program connects children ages 9 - 12 to their natural surroundings, while helping to build a strong foundation of outdoor ethics and safety habits. Participants learn about local area flora, fauna, geology, geography and native cultures of our valley and surrounding mountains. Participants receive rewards for completing the program.

Check-in begins at 11:45 a.m.
All programs run from noon to 4 p.m.

Who May Participate? Children 9 - 12 years old, limited to only 15 participants per month. Child must be registered prior to attending.
